Opened my eyes from morning meditation and was filled with joy. What you may see is a dark picture of a dining room. And, maybe you notice the changing colors through the window.

I see the beauty of the changing seasons too. And I also gaze upon this room, placemats still on the table from last night, and I see and feel pure joy. Joy for conversation had around the table, nourishing food served, gathering of friends for arts & crafts, the table turned desk sometimes, the energy of love and friendship that this little corner of our home holds.

This is the wisdom and knowledge corner of our home. The element is water. In this picture, you likely see more wood, however, there are elements of water within this room to support us in knowledge becoming wisdom, wisdom guiding us in creating our life. Come the season change, this is where we house the plants we want to winter over. I am always working to find a balance of the elements throughout our home, connecting us to nature, the flow of life and our dreams. You can feel a difference when a home is in balance and in flow.

Life shifts. You feel the joy in the mundane. You find flow and creativity. You light up from within, finding this deeper self ready to emerge. You open. You see. You feel all of the possibilities for your life.

On a day, 24 years ago, when hate prevailed, we still live in the mire of it.

When will we all take a look inside and focus there, within our own hearts?

When will we stop judging others for their beliefs, for their identity, for their color, for their birthplace?

The hate that swirls around us is a product of our egos that has unfortunately settled into our hearts.

We can make change when we first look within.
