Meet Victoria Deane MTCM, L.Ac. - Acupuncturist

"Becoming an acupuncturist was the best decision I’ve ever made".

​In 2012, acupuncture changed my life. In my mid-twenties, I was struggling with chronic gut issues, painful menstrual cycles, and carrying most of my stress in my upper back and neck. After a neck injury, I sought out acupuncture—and that single session completely shifted my understanding of what healthcare could feel like.

For the first time, I didn’t feel rushed. Instead, the acupuncturist listened with genuine care, asked thoughtful follow-up questions, and took the time to understand every aspect of my health. I left the treatment pain-free, grounded, and deeply calm. That experience brought me back into my body and sparked a deep interest in Eastern Medicine.

Later that year, I took a leap and enrolled in a four-year graduate program in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. After 1,900+ clinical hours, I completed my Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California, in 2017.

Since graduating, I’ve worked in a wide range of clinical environments—from community care to chiropractic offices, and now in direct primary care—providing one-on-one support to help patients address both the physical and emotional roots of dis-ease through acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Whether you’re seeking support on your fertility journey, hoping to strengthen your immune system, reduce stress, balance your hormones, or relieve pain, I am committed to helping you reach your goals and move toward optimal health. My mission is to educate and empower each person I work with, giving you the tools to take charge of your well being and live a more balanced, vibrant life.

About Lotus Family Practice

Lotus Family Practice offers full spectrum primary care in addition to a wide variety of group classes such as yoga, meditation, tai chi, qi gong - all for one low monthly fee.

History

Established in 2015.

Dr. Krouse finished her family medicine residency at Central Maine Medical Center in June 2014. Since then she has been working hard to create a family practice that focuses on connection, community, and seeks to find the root of disease and suffering, rather than mask symptoms. This has led her to create Lotus Family Practice. A place such as this would not be possible under the insurance model, so we cut out the middle man and created an affordable, accessible model that allows us to practice medicine in such a way that we can stay true to our values.
