Donald T. Morrish, MD, MMM, CEO of Episcopal Health Services, provides expert perspective in this ABC7NY segment on the federal cuts that could remove Essential Plan coverage for 450,000 New Yorkers.

As the only hospital serving the Rockaways, EHS understands how reductions in coverage can lead to delays in care and increased reliance on emergency services. This places additional pressure on a community that depends on a single hospital for its healthcare needs.

Dr. Morrish’s comments highlight the importance of maintaining access to affordable care for patients across New York.

New York already has some of the highest health care premiums in the country and they could soon be getting even higher.
