It's finally June, which means summer is almost here! More importantly, we have two new athletes to highlight. Our athletes of the month are Thommy White Lance and Grady Heffner! Both have shown remarkable dedication to the Special Olympics South Dakota.

First up is Thommy, who plays for the Sioux Falls Fireworks. Her favorite athlete is her coach, Cort Hansen. Thommy loves meeting new people through this wonderful organization. Grady, on the other hand, has been participating for an impressive 20 years. His favorite part is hanging out with friends from all over the state, with the added joy of having his whole family there to support him. Let's give a round of applause to these two amazing athletes!🎉🎉

In May, we are proud to announce two new athletes of the month. This month's spotlight shines on Sarah Hanley from the Brookings All Stars and Kyle Clarambeau from Mitchell. Sarah is a multi-sport athlete, excelling in basketball, bocce, bowling, and more. With 15 years of dedication to the Special Olympics South Dakota, she loves making friends and having fun with them. On the other hand, Kyle, who has been involved for 18 years, enjoys showcasing his skills in shooting 3-pointers in basketball.
