I’ve been reflecting on what “being thankful” really means.
In a strange, beautiful way, gratitude is just mindfulness with its heart wide open.
Life gets chaotic (we all know it). Deadlines pile up, phones buzz nonstop, endless chores and suddenly we’re sprinting through days without noticing the warmth of coffee in our hands, the way our kids laugh at the most ridiculous jokes, or the quiet relief of crawling into bed after a long day.
So here’s my gentle challenge to all of us:
🤍 Set one little reminder on your phone that says “Slow down. Look up. Be here.”
🖤 Let it pop up once a day. When it does, pause for ten seconds. Breathe. Name one small thing you’re grateful for right in that moment.
🧡 That’s it. Ten seconds to remember what actually matters.
Because tomorrow isn’t promised, but today?
Today is here.
Let’s live it.
Grateful for what we get to do everyday, our clients and the amazing staff at It’s a Part of, Therapeutic Services 🐦⬛
Happy (belated) Thanksgiving 🦃
