Does dry needling hurt? Short answer: not really. Our sterile, disposable needles are super thin—most people barely feel them go in. When inserted into injured tissue, you might notice a quick twitch, an ache, or a crampy sensation. Totally normal and actually a good sign that your muscles are responding!

You’ve probably heard it: “Running will ruin your knees!” The truth? Not exactly. Research shows recreational runners often have lower rates of knee osteoarthritis than people who don’t run. Most knee pain comes not from running itself but from sudden mileage jumps, weak supporting muscles, or poor movement patterns. Your knees are strong—they just need gradual progression and proper support.

Did you know, warmer weather can actually help your joints feel better! Warmer temperatures improve blood flow and reduce stiffness, making it easier to move and stay active. Regular movement strengthens joints and prevents stiffness before it starts. Our experts can also show targeted exercises to keep you moving comfortably all season long.

Meet Claire Dahl, Licensed Massage Therapist! She is all about helping you slow down, take a breath, and reconnect with your body. Her approach is calm and intentional, creating a space where you can truly relax and feel taken care of. Outside of Bodyworks, she enjoys spending time outdoors (especially on Minnesota lakes), cooking, reading, and being with friends, family, and her church community.
One of her favorite parts about working here is the people. There’s a genuine sense of support and positivity that makes coming to work uplifting, and that same energy carries into every session she provides. For Claire, the most meaningful part of her work is creating a safe, comfortable space where your body can do what it’s meant to do—heal.
Her simple tip? Get outside for 10 minutes a day. A little fresh air and natural light can go a long way in boosting your mood and reducing stress. As she puts it, “Helping others fosters a deep sense of connection, often turning the act of service into personal joy.”
👏 Claire is now accepting appointments—come in, breathe, and give your body the reset it deserves.

Yard work season is here!🪏🌱 Before you dive in, take a few minutes to warm up. Stretching and gentle movements get your muscles ready and can help prevent lower back pain. Remember to take breaks and pace yourself (your yard will still be there tomorrow)!

If your back starts to ache afterward, try heat or ice, and do some gentle stretches to ease tension and improve mobility. A little prep goes a long way toward staying strong and pain-free this season.

“I came to physical therapy carrying more than just pain—I came with fear, uncertainty, and very little hope. My body was dealing with myofascial pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, recovery from shoulder and breast cancer surgery, and a severe frozen shoulder. I didn’t know if I’d ever get full use of my arm again, let alone return to the tennis court, a huge part of my life. From my first appointment, Amanda and the Bodyworks team made a difference. They listened, believed in me, and guided my recovery with skill, patience, and care. Slowly, the impossible started to feel possible. Today, I’m back on the tennis court, competing in tournaments, and stronger than ever.”

Golf is built on timing, efficiency, and repeatable movement. When your swing feels off, it’s often your body, not your technique. Limited hips, weak core, or tight shoulders can cause pain, loss of distance, or inconsistency. Golf-focused physical therapy improves mobility, stability, and sequencing so your swing becomes smoother, stronger, and more comfortable.

Refresh your game this spring. Start with your body and watch your swing follow. 🏌️‍♂️💪
