Intimacy is the heart of witchcraft.

Hear me out—

Intimacy with humans, sure, sometimes… but just as often, and perhaps even more frequently, it’s intimacy with the plants, planets, rocks, trees and things… intimacy with the elements, including light and sound… intimacy with our own hearts/spirits, our own power, our own desires…

In fact, intimacy with ourselves, the cosmos and the natural world can frequently be the most potent, healing medicine when other humans cause us deep, deep hurt…

My work is about reconnecting with the wisdom and healing we find in the traditional, spiritual practices of our ancestors... their voices sing to us from deep within our bones; stories of a time when intimacy with Earth and the natural world was the norm...

By hearing and listening to these songs we can unravel SO much of the trauma that has been caused by colonization, industrialization, patriarchy and mandatory religiosity to find the heart of our own power, our own pleasure, our own desires and our own dreams...

When we move from this place of being connected to the heart of things, there are no limits to what we can create...

We both know you want me.

We know you’ve been lurking in the shadows of my posts for MONTHS.

Maybe you like, maybe you comment once in a while, but you don’t even touch the ones that speak to you the most, because YOU KNOW.

She held you, yes, and you embodied Her as well.

The Dark Mother is a goddess we know by many names— Mara, Kali, Hekate, Lilith, Baba Yaga, Hel, Persephone, Ereshkigal, the Morrigan, Circe and many, many more…

Regardless of the face and name with which She chooses to appear to us, there are some elements that remain constant— It is She who holds us in the deepest, darkest night. It is She who hears us wretching out with pain. It is She who carries us and guides us when there seems to be NO other way— when our vision is black, our senses are blurred and only her heart feels like True North. And, it is She who wreaks vengeance upon our enemies when we’ve been wronged.

It is SHE who refuses to lie down under the weight of male bodies; it is SHE who refuses to tiptoe around the delicate fragility of male egos; and, it is SHE who refuses to receive, carry and hold the toxicity of male-on-male violence and trauma in the way it has always been the emotional burden of women to bear…

It is SHE who weaves the Mystery of Deep Feminine Power and all sorts of other taboo things like Darkness, Death, S*x, Night…

It is She who makes us whole, and it is She who lifts us out from under the oppressive and toxic systems that try to keep us down by separating us from our pleasure, our power and more…

In this virtual mini-retreat, we will explore some of the sacred Dark Feminine archetypes of myth and legend from various cultures around the world. We will explore and deepen into intimacy with Her as a deity and source of energy, comfort, compassion and support… AND, we will begin to learn to channel Her energy into and through ourselves in order to become Her and, through this embodiment of Her create a better, safer and more empowered world.

We talk about fertility, but not so much the science and the hormones of it; more the energy and the magick of it... and like always, we go deeeeep into the shadow territories-- miscarriage, abortion, the relationship between having a career and having kids, the choice to have kids or to not have kids, etc., etc., etc.

Nothing is too taboo for us in the deep, dark, damp, cool arms of Mother Earth-- your rage, your grief, your shame, your fear... these all are welcome here.

I've decided completely impromptu to offer a live ritual and workshop tomorrow night...

Beyond the Veil is a deep-dive into the shadow world. It's a composting, a rotting and a decay... when we get done, you'll look exactly like the molding jack-o-lantern on my front stoop.

(Just kidding.. but am I tho??? 🧐)

The focus of this ritual celebration isn't to go into the shadow realm in order to bring forth the light... it's to step into the depp just in order to BE WITH IT...

Will light come later at some point? Of course. May it even show up on our call? Perhaps.. but is it the purpose of this workshop? Absolutely not.

The purpose of this workshop is to CREATE a fertile MESS, just like the mycelium in the ground is doing with all of the plant matter that's dropping to the ground these days...

Will we plant seeds in it? Not tomorrow night. (I mean.. you can.. but again, that's not what the program's about! 🕷)

The idea is simply to create SOIL, which you then take with you out of the sacred circle and into the outer world where the seeds will then show up. (Again, they're welcome in the container too-- just not the point! 🖤✨)
