A former resident shared this quote with us about her time in our program: "Community and friendship is honestly one of my favorite things I got while at the perry center. And that is sooo special to me because I didn't have anybody out here. 🥰" We have gotten to watch mamas in our program building relationships with each other that last many years past their time here. Having children with similar ages and finding other women who are working toward the same healthy goals can bind them together. Their shared faith in God also helps cement their relationships.

"idk if you can see but I wear my heart necklace everyday bc you guys saved me and my daughter and I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you guys and the program and of course God. I'll never forget. And the necklace represents a lot for me so thank you."
She also shared that the stuffed cow is from the baby boutique at The Perry Center. She said her daughter goes everywhere with it.

A woman donates jewelry as Christmas gifts each year to the women at PC and that's the necklace this former resident is talking about. She also said she is 4 months from completely being off methadone after using drugs for the past 10 years. She has quit sugar, as that's what she struggled with while at PC. She got her drivers license after not having it for years and has her daughter in daycare. She's been sober for over 1/12 years now and thanks God and PC for it.
