Telemedicine visits now at UrgentMED!

UrgentMED now offers telemedicine visits. Sometimes these are referred to as “telehealth" or “virtual” visits. While we believe that in most instances an in-person, face-to-face visit with a doctor is the best interaction, we are living in challenging times and understand that some patients mi...

UrgentMED is open and fully staffed. We have NOT had a confirmed case of COVID-19 in our clinic and have taken measures to make sure our patients stay safe.

We have rearranged our waiting room to separate patients. We have an outside lobby where patients without contagious illness may comfortably wait. We are encouraging patients who would prefer to wait in their car to do so and we will notify them by cell phone when ready to be roomed. We are bringing non-ill patients into the clinic area through a separate entrance. We are installing virus-killing ionizers in our ventilation system and undergo a vigorous and regular disinfecting wipe down procedure in waiting areas and patient rooms. We have been preparing for this pandemic for some time and have an ample supply of N-95 masks and protective equipment for our medical staff.

In short, while this may turn out to be the calm before the storm, at the moment all is well. We have implemented many safety measures and there is no need to be fearful.

If you require urgent care, we stand ready to help you.

These are unusual and extraordinary times and we will get through this together.

Well, it's official. The ND Dept of Health has upgraded North Dakota influenza activity to Level 5-- widespread. The primary circulating flu strain is Type B, which is particularly hard on children. This flu outbreak will be with us awhile. Avoid sick persons, stay home if you become ill, remember that Tamiflu is an option, especially for those who are young, old or with underlying health problems, and don't forget that it's never too late to get a flu shot! Don't mess with the flu.
