Today, March 4th is World Obesity Day. Currently, 1 in 6 people around the world are living with obesity and by 2035 it's expected to grow to 1 in 4 people. Alongside with the disease itself, obesity is linked to adverse physical and mental health outcomes. The stigma that comes along with those who are living with obesity can deter them from seeking medical treatment and limit their access to healthcare. Here at Valley Weight Loss Clinic our goal is to help stop this stigma allowing our patients to feel comfortable seeking medical treatment.
