Want to enjoy some time in nature this summer? Come to Wildlife Camp August 2-6! (4-H membership is not required to attend.)

Campers will be immersed in information about creatures ranging from the very tiny to the largest fur-bearing animals in North Dakota. Campers will enjoy hikes, experiments and creature adaptations to learn what makes them unique.

Congratulations!

This year’s "Hands to Larger Service Month" challenge resulted in a three-way tie, with each winning club earning a pizza party in celebration of their impactful work. We'll highlight the other winners throughout the month.

🍀The Flatlanders 4-H Club honored local veterans and service members through the creation of three Quilts of Valor. These handmade, patriotic quilts were presented to individuals in the community who have been touched by war.

The Quilt of Valor program is a national initiative in which volunteers create and award quilts as symbols of gratitude and appreciation. Through this project, club members aimed to recognize the service and sacrifices of veterans while offering comfort and healing.

Their work reflects a deep respect for those who have served and demonstrates the power of youth-led service to make a meaningful difference. 🍀

Did you register yet? The 2026 Extension Youth Conference is June 22 -25 at NDSU.

This conference provides an excellent opportunity for youth to learn how to become leaders, make connections and gain some fun skills along the way. This year, workshops include: pharmacy, wood burning, an MSUM planetarium tour, parliamentary procedure and more!

You'll get to hang out with the North Dakota 4-H Ambassadors and practice your dance moves too.

You'll need to register soon to participate! Rates will go up $10 per month until June 1, when registration closes. The conference is open to all youth who have finished the seventh grade.

Careers and Tech Ed Camp is a great introduction for youth interested in exploring high-demand skilled trade careers in carpentry, electricity, welding, small engines and many others.

By design, youth will be introduced to the skilled trades industry, highlighting well-paying, in-demand jobs that don’t require a four-year college degree.
