Journey of Hope Counseling Journey of Hope Counseling is a counseling practice in Fargo, ND serving primarily women and couples on marriage, depression, anxiety and more.

We all experience hurts. We all need grace, understanding, and healing. There is no greater gift one human being can give to another than to journey beside them in their lowest times. Having experienced that gift myself, my mission is to be that fellow journeyer for those who find themselves at a place where ‘going it alone’ isn’t working anymore. My purpose as a counselor and as a Christian is de

The reality is that many people find this season stressful. So often the picture perfect image is just an illusion and there’s a lot going on underneath the surface that we just don’t share about ourselves or see in others. Life is complex. For any of us, It’s very rarely as simple or picture perfect as it may appear.

Two simple ideas to help:

1. Remember every time you make a comparison, you are comparing your full iceberg to just the tip of everyone else’s iceberg. That’s not a fair comparison.

2. If you’re beating yourself up for what’s underneath your surface, remember that we all have a submerged story, even if it feels like others don’t. We all have stuff going on and feel bad and struggle at times. It’s just human.
