One of our incredible therapists Bradie Nelk, PT from our Sanford Wheaton Medical Center clinic won the Clinic Instructor of the Year from the U of M.👩‍🏫 This is the 2nd CI of the Year that she has been awarded. 🤯 University of Minnesota Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

She was nominated by one of her students. Below is only a snippet of everything Jarred had to say;

"Over our 9 weeks, she taught me a little bit about pretty much every area of physical therapy: inpatient, outpatient, SNF, sports, pelvic health, and home health; she even allowed me to get sports coverage within her role as an athletic trainer for the high school teams, helping me to further connect with the community and build my experiences. Beyond my 9 weeks in Wheaton Bradie has continued to serve as a mentor for me, being open to discussing patient cases, career decisions, offering general life advice, and serving as a reference for me. I’ve been beyond grateful to have such a great resource in my corner as I’ve had to adapt to very different styles of clinical experiences and make the leap from student physical therapist to Doctor of Physical Therapy. I’m convinced that there are few if any clinicians out there who care for every person that walks into their clinic as much as Bradie".

We love our communities and making an impact on them!

Our Baxter team made some memories and meals.💙

Our Big Stone Therapies team raised $400, thanks to our employees and patients and packed 3,456 meals at The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes! We did this as a team for Global PT Day of Service!

A great testimony from our Parkers Prairie, MN clinic!✨

"I had trouble with any and every exercise when I first came in here. I tore my ACL during my senior year of basketball and of course had to go through surgery to get it fixed. Coming into therapy I thought I was never going to get better, but these three told me and made me work harder and here I am graduating thinking I wasn't going to get better in the beginning. They work you to get better in the nicest way. Thank you to these amazing fortunate people❤️".

"I feel coming to Big Stone Therapies-Hendricks and working with Regina has given me my life back. Six months ago I felt like I would live with my pain for the rest of my life. The first thing Regina gave me was "HOPE". After my first session with her and felt that at last there was someone that could help me! I had been to several Doctors, had tried several types of PT, and nothing helped.

We are excited to announce that DJ Lanke, PTA has been awarded the South Dakota Physical Therapist Assistant of the Year for 2023!!!
We couldn't be prouder to have another therapist on our team who is getting recognized by the SDPTA for their dedication to the profession! 👏

DJ has shown a strong commitment to the Physical Therapist Assistant profession with his efforts in and out of the clinic. He obtained two additional certifications this year, Emergency Medical Technician and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has attended multiple other continuing education courses and has become a "go-to" therapist in the clinic for patients suffering from vertigo and other dizziness conditions. DJ has recently taken on a new role in our community with providing onsite sports medicine services at Great Plains Lutheran High School. His new role as State Legislative Chair will allow him to advocate for the profession at the state level.
