š Taking Care of Your Mental Health During the Holidays š
The holiday season can be a time of joy, connection, and celebrationābut it can also bring stress, loneliness, and emotional overwhelm. Itās okay to acknowledge that this season isnāt always easy.
Here are some tips to support your mental well-being:
1ļøā£ Set Realistic Expectations: The holidays donāt have to be perfect. Embrace meaningful moments rather than perfection.
2ļøā£ Manage Stress: Take breaks when you need them, especially from your phone or other devices. Go for a walk (yes, daylight exposure is still important in the winterš), pray, practice mindfulness, or simply breathe deeply.
3ļøā£ Stay Connected: Reach out to supportive friends and family, even if itās just a quick check-in.
4ļøā£ Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself. Itās okay to say no and set boundaries.
5ļøā£ Honor Your Feelings: Allow yourself to feel what youāre experiencing without judgment.
