Our Story
John Perez is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of North Dakota and Minnesota, a member of the American Counseling Association and a Nationally Certified Counselor. He has a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Webster University (2007) and a bachelor's degree in Pre-Professional Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (2005), and is currently enrolled as a doctoral student at North Dakota State University in the Counselor Supervision and Education program.
Mr. Perez is also currently employed at Sanford Health, as a Senior Behavioral Health Therapist, providing group and individual therapy in the outpatient clinic, as well as in private practice at 30:17 Counseling.
Mr. Perez has worked for the state of North Dakota at Southeast Human Service Center as an Advanced Clinical Specialist, on and Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment team as well as the crisis and emergency services team.
Mr. Perez has been trained in Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Mr. Perez has experience with couples and marriage, group, trauma disorders and PTSD, mood disorders, ADHD, personality disorders, severe and persistent mental illness and substance use/abuse. He has also worked with children and families in-home, and has training and familiarity with Love and Logic, Nurtured Heart and "The Five Love Languages".
