We are proud to receive the official "Together Facing the Challenge (TFTC)" agency certification. Together Facing the Challenge is an evidence-based treatment foster care model developed by Dr. Maureen Murray and colleagues at Duke Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. The TFTC model provides a common language and skill set for supporting youth in our care. The model honors that relationships between foster parents, families, youth and the Nexus-PATH staff case manager are central to successful healing. Congrats to our foster parents and staff for your successful implementation of the TFTC model!

🌟 FOSTER PARENT SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Bob and Stevie have provided foster care for three youth in the past few years. They are currently in the adoption process for two of them. Bob grew up in foster care with his grandparents. The couple chose to start doing foster care in 2017 in memory of Bob's grandparents.

Bob and Stevie go above and beyond to help youth process through traumatic events and have been strong advocates to ensure that youth's needs are met. Through thick and thin, the couple show their commitment that youth in their home are family, not just foster children. They have a strong belief in lifelong connections and want to be supportive regardless of where a child's journey takes them.

Bob and Stevie give the following advice: "Be patient, give yourself some grace and, most importantly, don't forget to take time for yourself."

Thank you for everything you do for youth in care!

Our Story

Nexus-PATH Family Healing is committed to the safety, well-being and permanency for all children. We support and advocate for the best possible connection for each child to his/her own family. We are continually assessing and responding to the individual needs of those we serve. If reunification is not or cannot be the goal, we will support the least restrictive, most appropriate permanent plan.

Our high standards, clear policies, and best practices ensure that each child and family receives quality service. We will develop alternative methods that lead in collaborative efforts in creating culturally effective services.
