🔥 August Member of the Month: Bruce Velzke 🔥
Bruce started his fitness journey at the beginning of 2025, "I started working out because I was simply overweight. I could not do all the things I wanted to do." He found himself winded just walking up stairs and unable to keep up with his active wife and three kids. That was his turning point. He started to eat healthier and started working out.
Since then, Bruce has dropped an incredible 48 pounds! Not by magic, but by committing to healthier eating and a consistent workout routine. He now trains four days a week, splitting his time between weight training sessions with his wife and cardio days focused on walking and running. His next goals? Dropping another 19 pounds and crushing a 5K in under 30 minutes. And there’s no doubt he’s on track.
Bruce says the biggest change isn’t just physical, it’s how he feels. He has more energy, a renewed drive to tackle projects around the house, and a whole new level of self-confidence. He even had to replace his entire wardrobe because his old clothes were too big, a problem he never imagined having a year ago.
What keeps Bruce coming back to Ignite Fitness? The atmosphere. The community. The people.
