🌟 Member of the Month: Patty Twaites 🌟
We are excited to recognize Patty Twaites as our January Member of the Month! Patty began her fitness journey this past July when she “wanted to lose some weight for a wedding.” After trying to work out at home and realizing “my attempts at home were not working and I needed to do something different,” she decided to give Ignite Fitness a try.
Today, Patty has built a routine she truly enjoys. She “works out with trainers two days a week” in a group session with a friend, strength trains “one more day on my own,” and takes “several classes a week when they fit my schedule.” She shared, “I love the variety of classes offered,” and added that “the instructors are great! They are encouraging and emphasize working at your own pace or modifying to suit your needs and abilities.” She also noted how welcoming the gym is, saying “the other participants are very nice and helpful.”
Thanks to her consistency, Patty told us, “I lost the weight I had wanted to lose.” Even better, she’s “gained energy and a new set of friends,” and is now “focusing on strength and muscle growth,” understanding that “building muscle is extremely important as you age.” Since July, Patty has lost an AMAZING 17lbs and her % body fat has went down 11%! All while still managing to put on 3.5 lbs of muscle!
Patty first tried Ignite because of a friend, but she stayed because “it feels like a community that supports one another.” She also loves that it’s “a smaller gym,” making it “less overwhelming,” and that “you can always find help when you need it!”
