District One Hospital is a 49-bed hospital offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient healthcare. The hospital is situated on the Healthcare Campus in Faribault, MN with its medical partners Allina Health, Mayo Clinic Health System, the Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic, and Rehab One. District One Hospital, formerly known as Rice County District One Hospital admitted its first patient on April 20, 1960. The hospital is owned by the community it serves, namely by the hospital district, district one, which encompasses eight of the 14 townships in Rice County, as well as the cities of Faribault, Morristown, and Nerstrand. District One Hospital offers the following key services: oncology services including chemotherapy and PET/CT, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Community Education, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Services, Hospice, Inpatient Care, Lifeline, Nutrition Services, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Occupational Therapy, Orthopedics, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Care, Sleep Center, Speech Therapy, Surgery Center, Women’s Health and Laboratory Services. District One is certified by the Centers for Medicine and Medicaid Services (CMS) and licensed by the State of Minnesota Department of Health (more information can be found at http://www.hhs.gov. Our Hospice Program is Medicare certified, our laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the hospital participates in the American Red Cross Blood Bank system.
