AllStar Myofascial Release

AllStar Myofascial Release I empower those who doctors fail. Surgeries gone wrong, people trying to avoid surgery and meds. I am a John Barnes trained Myofascial Release Therapist (MFR).

I help people reduce and remove pain and stiffness that comes with the emotional and physical stress of day to day life. So they can work pain free, go home and enjoy time with the family or enjoy their hobbies without pain. I use MFR to help those ready to commit to getting out of pain and improving the quality of their life. So they can also live a pain free life. I also offer Traditional Massage to help those who need to disconnect from the daily stressors of life to recharge, relax and regroup so they can tackle the coming days feeling less stressed, less overwhelmed and more energetic.

Your body becomes overwhelmed.

You start missing work.

The side effects of medication create new problems.

You may even gain weight because you’re less active.

The loop keeps going and then secondary loops start forming as new pains and health issues show up.

Eventually, you start to wonder if this is just how life is going to be (I know because I’ve been there. Not once, but three times, all due to different injuries).

I’m here to tell you:

You CAN break the pain cycle.

You can start simply, without spending extra money:
Rest.
Whole foods.
Water.
Epsom salt baths or foot soaks.
Gentle, easy walks.
BREATHING 😅

These are safe, supportive ways to begin calming the system.

Bodywork can also help break the cycle whether that’s massage therapy, chiropractic care, or Myofascial Release, depending on what your body needs.

I’m obviously a little biased toward Myofascial Release.
Because if the fascia isn’t healthy, muscles can’t fully relax, and bones won’t hold adjustments.

And most of the time, Myofascial Release is the one thing people either haven’t tried or haven’t been given enough time with.

It’s gentle.
It doesn’t push your body off a cliff by forcing it through pain or perceived injury (because yes, deep tissue massages are perceived injuries to your nervous system).

It helps calm the nervous system.
And when the nervous system settles, the body can finally start to feel better.

You don’t have to wait to break the cycle.

You can start today.

Common things that cause back pain:

• Scar tissue from C-sections
• Scar tissue from epidurals
• Unbalanced hips
• Repetitive patterns (always shifting weight to one leg or shifting weight to one side of your seat)
• Long periods of standing or sitting
• Old injuries

Maybe your back pain started with an old injury that caused a bulging disc.
Or maybe it’s from kicking one hip out while holding your kid.

Either way, your body adapts, and those adaptations add up.

This is where Myofascial Release helps.

Myofascial Release works by restoring balance and function to the tissues, not by forcing the body into place.

It can:
• Help realign the pelvis without aggressive adjustments
• Release muscle and fascial tension
• Calm the nervous system and reduce stress-driven pain
(because when stress is high, the pain is 10x worse)

Myofascial Release is gentle, effective, and works with your body instead of against it.

If you’ve been putting off your pain, this is your sign.
Taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s necessary.

Injuries, poor compensation patterns, or even picking something up “the wrong way” can all lead to herniated discs.

Myofascial Release can help by:
• Reducing pressure on irritated nerves
• Relaxing restricted muscles and fascia
• Improving alignment of the spine and hips
• Helping prevent further injury by restoring balance

The good news is, most herniated discs don’t automatically mean surgery.
In fact, up to 90% of herniated discs can heal on their own, if the environment allows it.

That environment includes:
• Eating a whole-food diet with adequate protein
• Correcting poor movement patterns
• Strengthening weak or under-supported muscles
• Reducing stress and strain on the spine and surrounding tissues

That’s where I come in.

I help you heal from the inside out and the outside in. Using nutrition coaching to support tissue healing, Myofascial Release to address restrictions, and movement coaching to help you build long-term support.

Healing isn’t about forcing the body.
It’s about giving it what it needs to recover.

My client said, “I actually forgot to take my migraine injection for four days after it was due and even then, it wasn’t because I needed it. I just saw it on my calendar.”

That’s not luck.
That’s the body finally getting some relief.

Myofascial Release can be incredibly effective for migraines because fascia plays a bigger role than most people realize.

Fascial restrictions can:
• Compress the bones and joints of the skull
• Tighten around the spinal cord and nerves
• Restrict the tissues around and in the eyes (yes, your eyeballs have fascia)

And migraines don’t always start in the head.
Even something like uneven hips can contribute by pulling on the fascial system.

Migraines have many causes but living in constant battle with them shouldn’t be one of them.

You shouldn’t have to miss work.
You shouldn’t have to cancel plans.
You shouldn’t have to organize your life around your next migraine.

You deserve to enjoy your life, not plan around your pain.

This is what we aim for!

Everyone’s body responds a little differently after their first session.

Some people don’t notice much change right away because their system is so overwhelmed it doesn’t quite know how to respond yet.

Some feel temporarily worse, because they’ve been stuffing everything down for so long, and in order to release the pain, the body has to feel it first.

But most often, what we see is a gradual decrease in pain.
Maybe there isn’t a huge difference immediately after the session…
But later that day, that night, or the next day, they start to notice the shifts toward healing ❤️

Better sleep.
Less pain.
More energy.

Those little wins matter.

Scoliosis isn’t just about bones.
It’s about tension.

When fascia pulls unevenly, the body compensates… and that’s where pain thrives unfortunately.

Myofascial Release helps by:
• Reducing uneven tension
• Improving mobility and breathing
• Calming the nervous system
• Supporting the body instead of forcing correction

We’re not trying to “fix” curves.
We’re helping your body move and feel better by offering it support.

I love watching my clients get out of pain ❤️

I’ve been working with a lady, today makes her 6th week, she’s always so burnt out and tired because her numbness in her arms keeps her awake at night.

Every week she comes in and says the arms are still the same. Still the same. Still the same.

This week. Week 6. She came in and told me she has been able to sleep all week. I think today was the first time I’ve heard her laugh, not once. But a few times!

She already has more energy and even though her work has been stressful, her arms not keeping her awake has been letting her get actual rest so she feels better 🥳

This is why I do what I do!

Those “knots” you feel under your hands
aren’t chunks of muscle that need to be dug into.

They’re not adhesions you have to overpower or scar tissue you need to “break up”.

Most of the time, what people call a “knot”
is restricted fascia responding to the nervous system.

Fascia isn’t just wrapping around muscles.
It’s a continuous, living system that connects everything…
muscles, bones, nerves, organs, and blood vessels.

When the nervous system senses stress, overload or trauma.

The fascia stiffens and thickens to create protection and stability.

That density you feel is tissue guarding.

Fascia responds to pressure, time, and safety,
not force.

Trying to “dig it out” often makes the nervous system push back harder, because from the body’s perspective, more force means more threat.

Myofascial Release works because it:
• Applies gentle, sustained pressure
• Gives fascia time to soften and reorganize
• Communicates safety to the nervous system

As the nervous system shifts out of protection,
fascia softens.
Restrictions melt.
Pain signals quiet.
Movement improves.

Relief doesn’t come from being stronger than the tissue. It comes from listening to what it needs.

Fascia doesn’t need to be bullied or manhandled.
It needs to be understood and respected.

And when you work with the fascia
instead of against it that’s when real, lasting change happens.

TMJ pain isn’t just a jaw problem, it’s often caused by tension and restrictions in the fascia that connect the jaw, neck, shoulders, and nervous system.

Myofascial Release works by gently releasing those restrictions, allowing the jaw to move more freely, reducing pressure on muscles and nerves, and calming stress-driven clenching.

By restoring balance and natural movement, MFR helps decrease pain, improve function, and prevent symptoms from coming back.

Have you been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or chronic pain?
At some point, those labels can start to feel like your entire identity.

You are not your diagnosis.

Instead of chasing labels, it may be time to address one of the root causes of persistent pain the fascial system.

When fascia becomes tight and restricted, it can create widespread pain, stiffness, and symptoms that often don’t show up on imaging. This is where Myofascial Release can make a real difference.

You deserve hands-on therapy that works with your body, not against it, and supports true healing, not just symptom management.

Getting more sleep to help get through the holidays:

If you’re wondering why everything hurts more right now…
Start with sleep.
(Yes, even before stretching.)

Because running on fumes makes pain louder, stress heavier, and everything tighter.

Sleep is treatment.
Not a suggestion.
