There’s a difference between a workout and a clinical movement plan. 🩺✨

If you’re over 50 and navigating a history of injuries, the “standard” Pilates class can feel intimidating—or worse, unsafe.

At In Motion, we don’t just teach you how to move; we teach you how your body should move. Because our sessions are led by Physical Therapists, every adjustment is backed by clinical expertise.

We focus on:
✅ Precision over pace
✅ Alignment over aesthetics
✅ Safety over “sweat”

It’s not just Pilates. It’s PT-led Pilates. And it hits different.

Osteoporosis usually moves in one of two directions — and the difference is what you do next.

One path looks like shrinking your life to stay safe: less strength work, less impact, more caution… and hoping treatment carries the whole load.

The other path is learning how to challenge your body strategically: building strength, improving balance, and staying active with a plan that respects your starting point.

Our focus is helping active adults train in a way that supports bone health without living like they’re breakable.

If you want a clearer, safer strategy you can stick with, book a discovery call with us today!

If you’ve been told to “just be careful” because of osteoporosis… that advice can backfire.

Your bones don’t stay strong by being protected from everything. They stay strong by getting the right kind of challenge. When movement gets avoided for too long, the body adapts to that too — and strength (and bone support) can quietly decline.

What matters isn’t doing nothing. It’s doing smart, guided strength:
✅ the right exercises
✅ the right progression
✅ the right form
✅ the right support

This is where PT guidance and Pilates-based strengthening can be a game-changer — building stability and confidence without guessing.

Send this to someone who’s afraid to work out with osteoporosis.

If you’ve been told walking is enough for osteoporosis, you were given incomplete advice.

Bones need impact to stay strong — and not all impact is unsafe.

Heel drops deliver over 3x your body weight through your bones, which is exactly the signal bone tissue responds to.

This is one of the most researched, accessible bone-building exercises — when done correctly.

Save this. And if you want to learn more, join us this Thursday at the Farmingdale Library!

Congrats to Matt — LI Dodgers Nation baseball player ⚾️ who was crushing it at a September tournament when back pain stopped him cold.
A back fracture meant no twisting, rotating, or extending 🚫—so when Matt started PT in October, even basic movements were off limits. Through dedicated 1:1 sessions, he worked relentlessly to rebuild back + leg mobility and strengthen his core 💪
He progressed from foundational movement → squatting, jumping, and running 🏋️‍♂️🏃‍♂️, then advanced to baseball-specific training for throwing, catching, and hitting ⚾️
Now Matt is back at practice, gearing up for spring season, participating in gym class, and hanging out with friends again.
As former collegiate athletes and Doctors of Physical Therapy, we know how tough it is to be sidelined. Matt, we’re proud of your comeback—and can’t wait to watch you dominate this spring 🔥
One-on-one care to keep you In Motion. ✅

Getting back to running after surgery isn’t just about healing — it’s about trust, patience, and the right plan.

After injuring her hips while training for her first marathon, Allison spent months resting with no relief.

Surgery was the next step — and rehab mattered just as much as the procedure itself.

Working with Samara, Allison rebuilt strength, confidence, and control — and recently went for her first pain-free run in almost a year. 🏃‍♀️✨

That moment?

That’s why we do what we do.

Rehab isn’t about rushing.

It’s about listening to your body, following a smart progression, and having a team that supports you every step of the way.

Allison, we’re so proud of you 🏃

Pain-free doesn’t mean game-ready.

And this is where a lot of ACL athletes get tripped up.

Around 12 weeks post-ACL, many athletes feel strong and symptom-free — but what you can’t feel is that the ACL graft is actually at its weakest point during this phase of healing.

We call this the false security window.

You feel good… but the tissue isn’t ready yet.

That’s why smart rehab isn’t about rushing back to running.

It’s about rebuilding ~80% strength, restoring control, and progressing impact at the right time — not just when pain disappears.

This is how you protect the graft.

This is how you avoid setbacks.

This is how you return to sport stronger and more confident than before.

Save this if you’re rehabbing an ACL — or share it with an athlete who needs to hear it.
