Remember the parachute from elementary school?! 🙌 We had a blast working together to coordinate bouncing the ball on top, and also tossed around some beachballs!

⁉️ Did you know hand to eye coordination is extremely important with regards to muscle memory, muscle growth, and getting circulation moving in the body?

We took down the tree, put up a winter mantel and got our groove on! 🎶 Playing along to rhythmic music using tambourines, drums, maracas, and egg shakers was such a joy. Not only was it fun and engaging, but also an excellent exercise for the brain and muscle movement. What a fun and relaxing morning!

We got crafty with the Faith Tabernacle church, created some very cute Bumblebee crafts and spoke of faith. It was a wonderful afternoon!

Meet our Administrator!

Michael has extensive experience in the health care field spanning the past two decades. About 20 years ago, thanks to some of his family members that were in healthcare at the time, Michael started volunteering at Medford Multi-care, helping out with special programs and events like “Family Fun Day.”

Michael then went on to pursue his education. He had a Minor in Economics and Finance, and an undergraduate degree in Management, and then went on to earn his MBA in Health Care Administration all from Molloy University.

In 2018 he worked in Human Resources at Brook Site Multi-Care Center in Smithtown. During the Covid-19 pandemic he was promoted to Director of Employee Health. Michael then went on Luxor at Mills Pond Rehabilitation and Nursing in St. James where he worked as the Assistant Administrator, and more recently has been the acting Administrator at Parkview Care and Rehabilitation in Massapequa.

His many years of experience have taken him through various aspects of the healthcare industry, as well as, a variety of facilities here on Long Island. His knowledge, experience, and leadership will be a profound and exciting addition to our team here at Daleview Care Center.

We are all so happy to be working with Mr. Lugo as he begins his journey with us!

We are always adding to our programming, and our new Book Club was a hit! Residents gathered in the dining room as staff read a short story, then we discussed it as a group. We read 📖 "To Build a Fire" by Jack London- a great adventurous story about a man and his dog surviving the Alaskan Yukon wilderness in the wintertime - very apropos for the season!

Happy 2026!!! 🥳 We rang in the new year with a party, fresh Italian cookies, Jackpot Bingo, sparkling juice, live music by Maria Menniti and gathered together in fellowship. Staff and residents reminisced about the year that had come to pass, and what we were all looking forward to in the 2026 year.

It's been an amazing year and there's been a lot of fun ✨ We're thankful to everyone who trusted us with the care of themselves or their families this year, and look forward to continuing to support you in the coming new year.

📣 Leave a comment telling us how you celebrated, or what your resolution for 2026 is!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our family, to yours 🫂 Santa brought so much joy to everyone, and we loved decorating and donning our festive ugly sweater, indulging in some sweet treats, and soaking in the season.

✨ The Daleview Staff & Residents wish you all a safe, and beautiful holiday!

We were lucky to be graced with the presence of some incredible musicians this week to spread the holiday cheer! The students of the Farmingdale High School Choir graced us with their spirit and their voices. Angels sang high and the residents were in holiday bliss as the students toured around visiting both buildings, and all 3 dining rooms ensuring everyone got to hear! (Special thanks to the director of the choir, Jessica Mischke who helped us organize this all!). We were also joined by Mary Peck in full costume singing all her Holiday melodies -it's always a treat to have her!

We hope you’re all on the Nice list this year, because Santa comes tomorrow!!! 📣 Tell us in the comments what your wishes for the holiday are!
