Are you dealing with sciatica or hip pain and have limited range of motion?
Modify Pigeon Pose in a chair and get the same stretch
Be sure not to force any pose; if a move increases sharp, shooting pain, stop immediately.
Consistency: Gentle, daily stretching is more effective than infrequent, intense sessions.
Crosss leg as shown, and only lean forward over the crossed leg as far as you can without any intense pain. You should experience a nice slow Gentle stretch. Hold for 5 to 10 seconds on each side. As your body responds increase the hold and reps.

benefits of forward folds:
deeply stretches the hamstrings, glutes, and spine while calming the nervous system. As a gentle inversion, they increase blood circulation, aid digestion, and reduce stress, tension, and headaches.
Note: Forward folds are not recommended for those with severe sciatica, hernia, or high blood pressure.

Sphinx is a gentle, beginner-friendly pose supported by forearms, while Cobra is a deeper backbend that uses hands to lift the chest higher, making it a slightly more advanced pose.
If you are dealing with back issues, stick with sphinx arms.
A great affirmation to say in either Cobra or Sphinx pose is:
