October is ADHD awareness month! Children with ADHD struggle with their emotions and behavior. They may not listen to directions or do what they are supposed to do the first time. This is not because they are “bad.” Rather, Neuro-imaging research evidence proves that ADHD is associated with impaired functioning of the prefrontal cortex. If you are getting frustrated with your child who has ADHD, remember that they are struggling too. We are here to help, feel free to reach out- behavior therapy can help!

Playing with LEGOS can help reduce anxiety and worries in children. We recommend playing/building LEGOS for children who are experiencing a high level of anxiety because it helps calm them down and forget their worries in the moment.
