To the mothers of Mala — and to mothers everywhere — Happy Mother’s Day. 🤍
Today we honor the women who are holding so much with tenderness, courage, and resilience.
The mothers who left entire countries behind to build safer futures for their children.
The mothers healing wounds they never deserved to carry.
The neurodivergent mothers learning to parent in a world that was never built with their minds in mind.
The single mothers carrying the weight of entire systems on their backs.
The first-time mothers navigating uncertainty with love.
The first-generation college graduate mothers rewriting what is possible for future generations.
The mothers raising neurodivergent children while learning to advocate, regulate, and heal alongside them.
The mothers doing deep inner work so their children inherit less pain and more freedom.
Different stories. Different paths.
But every one of them is a cycle breaker in some way.
At Mala Child & Family Institute, we believe healing does not happen in isolation. It happens in relationships, in community, in repair, in showing up over and over again when things are hard. So much of that work is carried quietly by mothers.
May we honor them.
May we support them.
May we build systems and communities that care for them, too.
And may we learn from their softness, strength, vulnerability, advocacy, and courage to keep growing into safer humans for one another.
To all the moms in our Mala community — we see you, and we are endlessly grateful for you. 🤍
