October 15th is the opening day for Medicare open enrollment. is currently scheduling appointments in October and November for consultations at the LIFE Center office at 725 E. Karsch Blvd. Open enrollment ends on December 7th.
We have three dates in October and two dates in November where we offer free and unbiased Medicare counseling. is now scheduling appointments for the dates listed below. Spaces will be filling up quickly, so call as soon as possible to be sure to get your appointment scheduled.
Our November Dates are Tuesday the 11th and Wednesday the 19th.

Time to celebrate with a drumroll, please: LIFE INC is proud to be the recipient of a generous Community Support and Partnership grant from our friends at Spire!

These funds will go to "generate" amazing projects (an energy pun for you), like the one below - this was from 2024, when Spire partnered with LIFE INC to build a brand new ramp for a local consumer who was having a very difficult time trying to get up and down the steps to their home. Now, thanks to the fine folks of Spire Energy of Southeast Missouri, this individual has ease of access - even room to enjoy the outdoors and this beautiful weather! All we can say is WOW! Thank you to our friends at Spire - you really do "light" up our whole organization! 💡

For the second year in a row, LIFE INC- Center for Independent Living is partnering with Farmington Buffalo Wild Wings to raise money for individuals with disabilities and senior citizens in the communities served by LIFE, Inc. These funds will support consumers in St. Francois, Madison, and Ste. Genevieve Counties.
This is a great opportunity to donate dollars to our cause without having to reach into your pocket for more money. "How does it work?" you might ask.
Buffalo Wild Wings will automatically take 20% of your purchase amount on August 31st (our fundraising day) and donate it to the LIFE INC- Center for Independent Living. There is no extra money coming out of your pocket, AND you get to eat GREAT food, watch GREAT Sports on big screen TVs, have a GREAT time with friends and family, and donate to a GREAT cause all at the same time. LIFE INC- Center for Independent Living is a non-profit resource for individuals with disabilities and senior citizens that advocates for the right of these individuals to remain independent in their own homes. We are not just a Home Care provider, but so very much more!
Buffalo Wild Wings will run this promotion ALL DAY on Sunday, August 31st, the day before Labor Day.

It's THE WEEKEND! 🥳

For some of our disabled/elderly friends, the weekends can seem long - time off for their caregiver can mean that they aren't able to eat a warm, cooked meal... maybe even unable to shower with the comfort that someone is there with them in their home in case they were to fall... and if they needed something from the store? They'll just have to wait until Monday, when their caregiver comes back...
..but have no fear, LIFE INC is here! We offer caregiving options on WEEKENDS, too! 😃 Sometimes care needs are ongoing, and we understand that an extra bit of support is sometimes needed on Saturdays and Sundays. Life In-Home has weekend caregivers! And the CDS and VDC (Veteran-Directed Care) programs through LIFE INC both allow flexible scheduling which allows the patient to set their own time - including weekends (with care plans designed to include multiple days of care per week). Call us during regular business hours at 573-756-4314 (Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm) if you'd like to learn more about the qualification requirements 💁

At LIFE INC, we understand that weekends can feel uneasy, that's why we're here to help YOU live more independently at home... even on Saturdays and Sundays, too! 🫶

BEEP BEEP - that's LIFE INC's transportation service coming down the street! ​🚐

Needing Medical (Non-Emergency) Transportation?*
Call us at 573-756-4314 to complete an intake and see if you qualify!

Transportation routes are filled on a first come, first served basis so please call as far in advance of your appointment as possible in order to increase the likelihood that we are able to meet your transportation needs.

*Limited to elderly/disabled consumers only. Patients utilizing other home care providers (not including L.I.F.E., Inc. or LIFE In-Home) are encouraged to contact SMTS @ 573-431-5765. Elderly/disabled patients WITHOUT a home care provider can call the L.I.F.E., Inc. office at 573-756-4314. NO same-day appointments will be allowed (unless someone else on today's route had a cancellation). Please call as far in advance as possible to schedule your ride. Priority will be given to doctor's visits. Our transportation program currently runs Monday through Friday as of August 2025.
