DID YOU KNOW? LIFE INC offers case management through the VA-directed "VDC" Program - better known as Veteran-Directed Care! If you or a someone you know is a veteran who is actively being seen by a VA doctor/clinic, they can ask their care team if they qualify for VDC.

If approved, the VA will award a monthly budget amount for that veteran to receive paid homecare services - at ZERO cost out of pocket! The paid caregiver of the veteran's choice can be a relative, friend, even a SPOUSE - and EVEN if they live in the home, too!

Ask your VA care team if you qualify today - LIFE INC is authorized to provide monthly case management including check-ins, payroll administration for your caregiver (we do direct deposit!), and semi-annual home visits to ensure the safety and wellbeing of America's heroes! We need a little help from our friends! We have heard of a lady in one of our local communities who is in need of a working electric stove. Hers' has gone out and she is cooking on a hotplate that can be very dangerous. This new Diabetes Support Group is designed to offer material that is led by the questions of the attendees. Each month we will discuss different topics that are based on the concerns of the members. Everyone is invited to share their personal experiences and offer suggestions regarding positive behaviors that have led to easier ways of coping with their own diabetes issues.
The Diabetes support group will meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Lower level of the LIFE Center Building
725 East Karsch Blvd. in Farmington.
The group will meet from 11:00am - Noon.

The facilitator for this group will be Randy Windsor. Randy is a staff member at the LIFE INC- Center for Independent Living and has been on a 50-plus year journey with juvenile "Type 1" diabetes. He has lots of experience dating back to the mid 1970's and has seen many changes in the way diabetes management has changed over the years. He brings a great deal of practical, day-to-day experience to the group.
This will be more about how diabetes affects your body and what we can do to prevent those affects from causing diabetic issues.
