OFF DUTY BUT NEVER OFF GUARD🚁❤️

When most people picture a day off, they think rest and relaxation. But for our flight nurse Chris Wright, instincts kicked in when it matter most.

While enjoying a day off at the pool, Chris noticed someone struggling in the water. Without hesitation, he dove into action- helping pull the individual out of the water and immediately beginning life-saving care.

Thanks to Chris’ quick thinking, training, and courage, the swimmer will hopefully make a complete recovery!

Flight nurses and paramedics don’t just serve from the sky- they carry the same heart, readiness and resilience every moment, on or off the clock.

We’re so proud to have Chris on our team!

As summer heats up, so does the risks around the water. Let’s stay safe, be vigilant, and remember that prevention is the best rescue.

A 7-year-old boy is recovering after an off-duty flight nurse sprang into action at a Heartland swimming pool, helping to save his life after he nearly drowned.
