Mrs Winch's 1st Grade Class from North County Primary participated in a Service Project. They donated supplies from our Wish List along with some special artwork which is now decorating our dog and cat departments as well as our Resale Store.

The “RAIN” Technique is a mindfulness practice that can help us feel less overwhelmed when dealing with difficult thoughts or emotions. It goes like this:

RECOGNIZE what is happening and describe it to yourself.

ALLOW yourself to experience your thoughts and feelings without judging them or reacting to them.

INVESTIGATE why you feel this way, and what might have triggered it.

NON-IDENTIFICATION Remember that these thoughts and feelings are temporary, and they don’t have to control or define you.
