Staff Update: A Season of Baby Joy!
We’re experiencing a beautiful baby boom at Wholeness Acupuncture Center, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for our growing families! Here’s what you can expect:

Alison will be on maternity leave starting July 1st. Return date TBD.
Dr. Ana .ana_engelhardt will begin her maternity leave in the second week of July and will return mid-October.

Crystal will be away from June 1st to August 6th.

In light of these shifts, Guljan will be expanding her availability to six days a week to continue supporting our community through the summer months. Join us in congratulating our expecting moms 🌷🙏♥️

🎉We are thrilled to welcome our new team member, Dr. Ana Engelhardt, ND .ana_engelhardt 🎉 Dr. Ana Engelhardt graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences in 2019. After college, she moved across the country to Arizona to pursue her medical education at Sonoran University, which she completed in 2023.
Dr. Ana values individualized healthcare, recognizing that the typical “one size fits all” approach does not work for most people. Her goal in caring for her patients is creating custom treatment plans that incorporate Eastern and Western medical care that are approachable and accessible to each patient. She hopes that by working together, each one of her patients can regain control of their own health and achieve optimal wellness.
Some conditions Dr. Ana focuses on include PMS, PCOS, menstrual irregularities, infertility, as well as various GI concerns such as IBS, IBD, SIBO, gas/bloating and food intolerances. She hopes to find the root cause of your health concerns and believes in the body’s innate ability to heal itself when given the opportunity. She grew up playing competitive tennis and in her free time, Dr. Ana now loves to attend pilates classes, hike, bake, and spend time with her family and pets.

The cacao plant has a rich history that traces back to ancient civilizations in Mesoamerica. Native to the tropical regions of Central and South America, it was cultivated by the Mayan civilization in what is now Central America approximately 2600 years ago. The civilization revered cacao as a sacred plant with divine significance. It was used in ceremonies and rituals to establish a spiritual connection with the divine and was believed to possess powerful healing properties, both physically and spiritually.
I personally enjoy using cacao to nourish my body and as a coffee substitute. I prepare a water base using a blend of cinnamon, cloves, cardamom pods, fennel seeds, and a touch of ginger. I then mix it with cacao from add a couple of dates for sweetness, h**p seeds , and some walnuts for creaminess. This delightful drink warms both the heart and soul with its delicious flavors.
