I learn something new everyday and most of the time it’s free in the form of a podcast from professionals in different areas of wellness. I highly recommend listening to this interview. Don’t have over an hour to spare? Jump in at around 39 minutes and listen for 20 minutes. This Dr discusses how to massage 6 specific areas of the body to unblock the lymph system and help your body to drain properly. This is so very important for a multitude of reasons. It opens your detox pathways. Your body will thank you!

• They look like a baby linebacker. No neck, shoulders up towards ears like they are shrugging.⁠⁠
⁠⁠
• They are stiff and “like to stand”⁠⁠
⁠⁠
• They grunt a lot and seem uncomfortable.⁠⁠
⁠⁠
• They prefer to keep their head turned in one direction.⁠⁠
⁠⁠
• They prefer one breast over the other.⁠⁠
⁠⁠
• You find that you are breastfeeding in the cradle hold on one breast and football on the other.⁠⁠
⁠⁠
• One eye opens more than the other.⁠⁠

Sinus pressure? Congestion? Check out this video to learn how to promote sinus drainage. This is an easy technique, and it is effective!

Here are a some tips as you get started
1. This is best done after a hot bath or shower or after placing a warm/hot washcloth on the face. However, it can be done at anytime and anywhere.
2. You can do this after every bath or shower for yourself and your children during the winter in an effort to prevent sinus issues.
3. It is best done while lying down so you are not fighting gravity, but I have done it while sitting on my couch and still got relief.
4. Don't worry about doing it "right". You are promoting movement and drainage and are not going to hurt anything. You can do this multiple times a day.

We can work in any space with enough room to set up my massage table. Dynamic body balancing uses gentle touch to facilitate movement. Put on your comfy clothes to allow your body to move without restriction.

Got a kiddo who needs to play or color to help us carve out enough time for the work? No problem!

Hi! I’m Jolene, and Centered Wellness is the passion project I never saw coming. I am a registered nurse and student nurse-midwife. I will graduate with a Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery in May of 2024. Last March I had the opportunity to attend a prenatal appointment with my sister, and her midwife did Dynamic Body Balancing as part of that appointment. I watched in awe as she worked and explained that a balanced mom = a balanced baby.

As soon as I got home, I grabbed the last open spot in Dr Carol’s Level 1 Body Balancing class and started my training 2 weeks later. Everything I had learned about anatomy and physiology up to that point was being put together in these classes to show just how amazing the human body is. We truly are created with mind, body, and spirit beautifully woven together. We need to look at the whole, not just one part at a time.

Body Balancing is for everyone, young and old. No two Body Balancing sessions will be exactly the same. Your body has innate knowledge of what it needs and will move us in the right direction. This is a team effort. I look forward to working with you on your wellness journey.

100 completed hours of training and soaking in all of the wisdom Dr. Carol Phillips had to offer. I've had the privilege of practicing DBB on family and friends over the last 7 months since my very first weekend of classes. Now it's time to start sharing this with others who can benefit from DBB.
