Thompson Health Urgent Care Center offers digital x-ray services and lower insurance co-pays than an emergency room visit. No appointment is necessary and most forms of insurance are accepted. Urgent Care works with your primary care physician and is designed to support, not replace, your physician’s professional medical services during evenings, weekends and holidays. And because it's operated by Thompson Health, you'll get the high level of care and compassion you deserve, backed by a network of support services available through the health system. The category of “Moving Through Your Visit” is an important one on our Press Ganey patient satisfaction surveys, and according to the latest reports, our staff is knocking it out of the park! Ranking in the 97th percentile overall among urgent care centers across the New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey region, our locations got high marks from patients for the comfort of the waiting area, the wait time for being placed in a room, the wait time to see the provider, and being informed about any delays. Each year, influenza virus infections result in approximately 5 million hospitalizations and 650,000 deaths worldwide. Virus circulation tends to occur during April through September in the Southern Hemisphere and October through May in the Northern Hemisphere, so experts here are often able to get a preview of what’s to come. According to the CDC, data from the Southern Hemisphere indicate we could be in for a tough flu season. However, there’s good news: In the Southern Hemisphere this year, vaccines were effective in reducing influenza-associated outpatient visits and hospitalizations by approximately one half. The CDC recommends that all eligible persons aged 6 months and older receive the seasonal influenza vaccine. Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting your shot at one of our community clinics!
