It is with upmost admiration and respect that I post about the passing of Judy Rosenfield, someone who I truly admired and looked up to as a speech language pathologist in the community. When I opened my private practice in 2017 she reached out to me and offered to meet me for coffee at Starbucks. Coming from the schools, I wasn’t really sure what it meant, but I went and I was so happy I did. She was gracious, friendly and open. Since that time we have collaborated on various SLP issues. She was one of only a few who could help me in our small little SLP private practice world in CT. Several years later, I saw her at the hair salon, and I was overcome with emotion. Being diagnosed with such a debilitating disease at such a young age is unfathomable. She said to me, “Can you believe III have a speech disorder?” Judy I have always respected you and will never forget the unconditional help you gave me.
