So part three on better sleep for better mental health. As you know, your brain always wants to be chewing on something. It wants to always be solving something. This is how it’s trying to fix your anxiety. Now, of course, when you lay down at night, your brain just starts mulling over all things of the day and trying to fix things that you really have no control of. So what you wanna do is you wanna give your brain something to think about. Have it think about something that you are planning, maybe you’re working on a project. Give it something where it can solve problems, but something that you enjoy. Maybe you’re trying to reorganize a room or redecorate something. Think about that, and I promise you, your brain will tire out, it will give it something to mull on, and you will sleep a whole lot better. All right, take care.

So as I’m sitting in my car here after not having a great night’s sleep, I’m just reminded of how much sleep affects our mental health. So I wanna do like a, maybe like three or four post series on sleep, the importance, and how much this affects our mental health. I wanna give you some tips, some ideas, um, to help you with this. So the first one I wanna give you is that, is a routine. Routine is super important. It tells our body that we’re starting to go into the shutdown. And so if you’ve been out of routine, which I understand, that’s why I’m out, I’m out of routine right now ‘cause I’m on vacation, and that’s why my sleep is wrecked. But make sure you have a routine before you go to bed. Try to keep consistent on it, and that will be telling your brain it’s time to go to sleep, which will actually start flowing those chemicals you need to get yourself a good night’s sleep. All right. Take care. #

You need to know something. The parking lot was completely empty, parking this close to me was intentional. I get it, two vans with mental health themes need to stick together. But I really would have loved the space to open my door 😆.
