We’re thrilled to welcome Maryam Hashmi as the newest Vascular Surgery Integrated Resident at UConn School of Medicine! Starting in June 2025, she’ll be joining our incredible team of residents, bringing her passion for surgery, patient care, and a rich background shaped by her family’s journey from Peru and Pakistan to the Bronx.

Beyond the OR, you can find Maryam running, painting, gardening, or cooking up Peruvian-Pakistani-inspired dishes. We can’t wait to see all she accomplishes!
