End of the Rainbow Health Alternatives

End of the Rainbow Health Alternatives Nestled in the beautiful Western Mountains in Farmington, Maine. End of the Rainbow Herb shop was started in 1986 by George and Gloria Pillsbury.

They sold herbal supplements and were available with extensive information on healing and holistic living by means other than mainstream medicine. Sandra Webber took over the business when the Pillsburys were ready for retirement. She added massage and reflexology to the business, being a LMT since 1991. A tanning bed was added as a means to deal with seasonal depression and certain skin disorders

. I, Shirley Hill Bourgault bought the business in 2008. It became End of the Rainbow Alternatives and moved to it's present location. This move has enabled the business to grow as a retail store and offer additional services. Theresa Dame is a hairstylist and cosmetologist. Reiki therapy is also available. We also have a collection of books here to read or borrow and DVDS too, with information on alternative practices going back at least 5000 years.

Feel like making the switch from plastic to bamboo?? Yea us too. As you can see Shirley has it covered with all of the household goods (and not even all of the cool stuff pictured including straws!!!).
So stop in and snag some goodies!
I’m loving the dry brushes for lymphatic drainage support, the little sporks, and these cute measuring spoons!

Here’s why ditching the plastic is the best bet for longevity not only for your physical health but also for the planet:

•Extremely Sustainable & Renewable: Bamboo is a grass, not a wood, and is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth—some species grow up to four feet in 24 hours. It regenerates naturally without needing to be replanted, often harvested in 3–5 years, compared to decades for trees.Eco-Friendly and •Biodegradable: Unlike plastic, which lasts forever, bamboo products (such as toothbrushes, cutlery, and plates) are biodegradable and can be composted, returning to the earth without causing harm.
•Reduced Deforestation & Carbon Footprint: Bamboo produces 35% more oxygen than equivalent tree cover and captures higher amounts of carbon dioxide. Using bamboo paper products helps reduce the demand for virgin wood pulp, protecting critical forests.
•Durable and Versatile: Bamboo is remarkably strong, often outlasting plastic or wood alternatives, making it ideal for furniture, flooring, cutting boards, and fabrics.
•Antibacterial and Safe: Bamboo contains natural antimicrobial properties (“bamboo kun”), making it a hygienic choice for toothbrushes, bedding, and kitchen tools.
•Healthy for Sensitive Skin: Bamboo fabric is hypoallergenic, moisture-wicking, and incredibly soft, making it excellent for clothing and sheets.
•Healthier Household Environment: Switching to bamboo kitchen tools helps reduce exposure to microplastics often found in plastic utensils.

Meet the **Soft Girl Biohack Stack™**
(a.k.a. cellular support without the Silicon Valley personality crisis).

This is the little lineup I keep reaching for in the shop- because real vitality is usually built with *steady, evidence-informed basics*… not extreme protocols that cost you an arm and a leg. And did I mention… IN THE SHOP? Meaning you can literally stroll on in today and snag it all and start your regimen NOW?! Yea. Anyway-

Inside this glow-up for your mitochondria:
• **Full-spectrum multinutrients** to cover modern nutrient gaps created by stress, soil depletion, and busy human lives
• **Fulvic mineral complex** to support cellular transport, hydration, and micronutrient absorption
• **Glutathione support** for antioxidant recycling and detoxification pathways
• **Berberine**, one of the most researched plant compounds for healthy glucose metabolism and metabolic balance
• **L-theanine** to promote calm alpha brain waves- focused, but not fried
• **NAD⁺ + resveratrol patch** to nourish mitochondrial energy production and healthy aging pathways linked to cellular repair and longevity signaling

Translation:
more stable energy, clearer focus, smoother nervous system, and long-game cellular support…
without needing a spreadsheet, a podcast addiction, or a cold plunge at sunrise.

If your body has been asking you *“please support me like an adult”*…
this stack is waiting for you. Just pop in and show whoever is at the counter & we will bundle it all together for ya!

Brand new in the shop!!! It’s all the hype lately. Patches!!

From patchaid & parkview health:

Vitamin patches are promoted as good for convenience, bypassing digestive issues for better absorption, and avoiding multiple pills, but scientific evidence is limited, with many water-soluble vitamins struggling to cross the skin barrier effectively, making pills or injections often more reliable for significant deficiencies. They stick to the skin and release nutrients (like B vitamins, D, C, caffeine, herbs) over time, appealing to those with pill fatigue or swallowing difficulties, but their effectiveness varies greatly by nutrient, with some studies showing poor results for large or water-soluble vitamins.

We have tons of options- stop in!
