At Spark, we celebrate the little wins and uplifting moments by writing shout outs on the leaves of our Positivi-Tree! 🌿
Whether it’s a kind gesture, a job well done, or someone going the extra mile, staff jot down encouraging notes on colorful leaves and add them to the tree. It’s our way of helping positivity grow and reminding each other that the good stuff matters.

Check out what our staff was up to last weekend! We volunteered with an amazing organization and had a blast doing so!
Pride is a time to celebrate identity, though the world doesn’t always make this easy. Research shows that LGBTQ+ individuals experience significant health disparities, especially as it relates to mental health. LGBTQ+ youth are at significantly higher risks of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts.
Did you know? A recent study out of the University of Cambridge found that autistic people are eight times more likely to identify as LGBTQ+. Pride month is a crucial time to shine a light on the mental health challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, including those on the spectrum. The Spark Center aims to be a safe space, not just during Pride Month, but every day.
Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈

The Behavior Health Center of Excellence® (BHCOE®) is an international accrediting body created to meet accreditation needs specific to the delivery of behavior analysis. The BHCOE’s accreditation requirements undergo regular review according to international standards for organizations that grant accreditation. All BHCOE requirements and survey content are reviewed annually by content experts. BHCOE Accreditation ® is a certification given to an applied behavior analysis provider once it has demonstrated it has met and continues to meet an assortment of clinical and administrative standards as determined by an independent third-party evaluator.
The SPARK Center was the first center to receive this respected accreditation in the state of Michigan and are one of only five in the state with the more prestigious (and difficult to earn) 2 year accreditation!
Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Spark Center for Autism provides early intervention based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.
At the Spark Center, our primary goal is to increase functional skills and decrease behaviors that negatively impact daily living. We believe that the best outcomes are achieved by tailoring interventions to the individual based on their specific needs. We believe in working with families to share and teach these principles in order to help enhance the lives of the children and their families.
At the Spark Center, we believe we have a responsibility to uphold best practice which means only using interventions that are validated in current research.
