🍎 Happy National Apple Cider Day! 🍎

Today we celebrated with the coziest treat of all — apple cider! Some of us enjoyed it cold, others liked it hot, but every cup was absolutely delicious.
We also learned a bit about the origins of apple cider and how it’s been used over centuries. It was the perfect excuse to sip something warm and comforting while spending time with friends by our side. ☕🍂

We enjoyed a classic favorite — Monopoly! 🎲
This timeless game brought back familiar and fond memories of playing with our children and grandchildren. Laughter, friendly competition, and nostalgic stories filled the room as we rolled the dice and made our way around the board.
There was some impressive negotiation skills, money management, and strategic thinking — proving that Monopoly never gets old!

✨ World Kindness Day ✨

Today we celebrated National World Kindness Day with a heartwarming Hug & Hello Afternoon Tea in the Legacy Court. They were absolutely delighted to gather together, sharing in laughter and moments, and the simple joy of being in one another’s company.

From the warmth of a smile to the gentle “ding” of teacups clinking, the room was filled with comfort, connection, and kindness. Throughout the day, we also shared beautiful poems about gratitude and kindness.

Let’s continue to spread kindness and love the whole year through. 💛🌿✨

Thank you to the Farmington fire department for hosting the 74th annual turkey bingo.
This group of turkeys were treated like royalty!
They greeted us the moment we pulled in, even helped us in and out of the building, gave us a front row table right next to the bathroom and food. The best seats in the house if you ask us ! 😁
We are already looking forward to next year.

🎃 Throwback to our Spooktacular Halloween Party! 👻

We’re still smiling thinking about all the fun we had — Halloween tunes filling the air, signature Screwdriver drinks with a twist in hand, and our spooky-fun popcorn bar that was a total hit! 🍿🧡

🍁 Thankful Thursday! 🍦

This past week was full of some of our favorite things — staying active, doing our finger-strengthening exercises, lifting weights, and keeping our bodies moving. 💪

But the best part? Taking a scenic ride through beautiful Hampton, soaking in all the stunning fall colors. 🍂🚐 We even made a stop at our favorite local spot, DQ, for some well-deserved Dilly Bars and Blizzards — what a treat!

One fun tradition we’ve started after exercise on Thankful Thursdays is sharing what we’re grateful for. This week’s list was full of heart — friends, life, family, sisters, husband — and the sweetest answer of all: “everything around us and all we have.”
Feeling extra thankful today for all that we have and for the wonderful people we get to share it with. 💛

We have had a busy few weeks here at the Legacy of Farmington!
Between competitions for spark challenge, fall crafts, shopping, bingo, drumming, noodle ball, and indoor walks!
We even added a little twist by playing “Where’s Waldo?” throughout the building, which brought out everyone’s playful side. 😁

Staying very active — both in body and mind — is so important to us, and having good friends to share it all with makes every day that much more special. 💛

We had so much fun at our spooktacular open house yesterday. Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop in.
