๐กAs cooler temperatures set in, the City is reminding citizens there are options available for those in need of shelter, including warming shelters and day shelters.
๐ตEast Missouri Action Agency operates the Uplift Day Shelter, located at 605 Wallace Road in Farmington. It is now open from 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday.
๐ตThe Uplift Day Shelter not only gives individuals a place to go when it's cold, it also offers solutions for those experiencing homelessness including case management, resource connections, and job search coaching and support. Those in need may contact the shelter at 573-454-2304 for more information about services.
๐ตAnyone in need of a warming shelter is welcome to visit any publicly accessible City of Farmington building during regular business hours. These facilities are available to individuals seeking relief from cold weather, as well as those who may be impacted by power outages during winter storms.
