Update 8:30 P.M.: Farmington Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred in a local retail men’s restroom. Syringes were taped to the toilet, as pictured, and one individual required medical care. We are working to identify the substance involved, and this remains an active investigation.

At this time, we believe this to be an isolated incident. We encourage the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to dispatch at 505-334-6622.

As if our children don't already face enough hurt and trauma from the outside world, only to be used, parentified, and betrayed by the people who are supposed to protect them the most.💔

It's unfortunate and sad that young kids, especially older ones, face such pressure during divorce or separation. Children should be free to simply be children—without adult responsibilities, guilt, shame, or feeling forced to pick sides. The guilt and anxiety they experience can leave lasting scars as they grow into adulthood.

Identified in 1994, Complex PTSD is a severe and devastating condition that can develop due to prolonged, repetitive trauma, mostly experienced during childhood, adolescence, or young adulthood. People who have lived through months or years of emotional neglect, bullying, domestic violence, disrupted attachment, humiliation, or child abuse are more likely to develop this condition.
