Yes! 🙌

I keep reading about how parents are frustrated with their teens, how they're never off their phones, how they don't know how to take care of themselves.

But I also see how parents are not letting their teens advocate for themselves in their activities or at school, how they try to solve all their problems, how they never let them fail.

I get it. It's a scary world out there. But, if we want our teens to grow up to be able to survive and thrive in it, we have to let them rise to the occassion.

And guess what? Sometimes they are going to fail or make mistakes or mess up. They are going to make some bad choices. But that's okay.

Because that is what they are supposed to do. That is how they learn. That is how we raise people who can manage problems, overcome obstacles, and take care of themselves.

If you want your teens to grow up, you have to let them rise to the occasion.

We're not saying it's easy. But we are saying it's worth it.

One of the most challenging parenting stages to navigate is learning how to “parent” your adult kids. It’s an amazing accomplishment to guide your kids into adulthood but it can also be a source of challenge and conflict. It doesn’t have to be that way! This is one of the most helpful resources I have come across to help your relationship with your adult “kids”. 10/10 ⭐️

: Most people will acknowledge and support a death loss, but many non-death or living losses can be incredibly painful and wounding. These shadow losses and the resulting grief they evoke is also often disenfranchised.
QUESTION: What other non-death losses not included below have been significant for you, your clients or other people you care about?
