Meet our new Campus Administrator, Mike Syltie! đ
We are grateful for the many years of service that Karrie Tipler gave to Trinity before her retirement. Karrie, we wish you all the best in this next chapter!
Mike grew up in Canby, Minnesota, on a family farm and has many fond memories of his childhoodâespecially the time he spent with his grandma.
âMy grandma was very influential in my early years. We spent a lot of time together, and she taught me some of the most important lessons and values that still guide me today.â
Together, they often volunteered at a local nursing home, where Mike helped set hair, played cards, and built meaningful relationships with residents.
âShe taught me to give back and serve others. We were either at the nursing home or at church helping wherever we could.â
Mike was also active in sports during high school and once considered a career in athletic trainingâbut ultimately found his passion in health care administration.
âServing others is what matters most to me, and this field aligns with the values I learned early on.â
After graduating from Moorhead State, Mike began his career as an administrator at Morris Health Servicesâpart of St. Francis Health Services and a sister campus to Trinity. After some time in the Twin Cities, the opportunity to return to St. Francis and join Trinity felt like the perfect fit.
âSt. Francis operates under strong, values-driven leadership. Itâs where I started my career, and I hope to finish it here. Trinity is a well-run campus with a strong foundation, and Iâm excited to be part of it.â
Outside of work, Mike enjoys being an involved father to his two children, golfing, cooking, traveling, and fishing. He also enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their blended family.
âMy kids and my girlfriend are just awesome. We love talking Minnesota sports, playing cards, and enjoying life together.â
When asked what heâd like the community to know, Mike shared:
âMy door is always open. I encourage you to come visit Trinity. Senior care is incredibly important, and at some point, it touches all of our lives. What we have here is truly special.â
