Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year of the fire horse. It only happens once every 60 years I believe, which I thought was interesting. Dan we are going to miss our chats with you! Most listen to speak, you listened intently to gain knowledge. Thank you for sharing some wise words and adventurous tales. We are forever inspired by the life you created for yourself and joy it brought you 🙏✨️

It’s with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of a cherished member of the Maine Rock and Gem community, Dan, who left us unexpectedly on January 29, 2026. He is survived by his aunt, Carolyn Bennett. While no funeral is planned, Carolyn hopes to hold a gathering this spring to honor Dan's memory.

The United Farmers Market of Maine will host a Celebration of Life in memory of Dan on Saturday February 14th at 2:30 pm in the Bayview Point Event Center at 15 Front Street, Belfast.
