Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

We also hold close the hearts of those still here carrying the weight of that sacrifice …the spouses, children, families, and friends who continue to honor the memory of the ones they love 🙏🏼

May we never take for granted the cost of the freedoms we have. Today we remember with gratitude, honor with humility, and lift up those who continue to carry it all.

Contentment doesn’t come from finally having enough. 👜👠🚙🏡💍

It comes from knowing Who is with you in every season.

The author of Hebrews reminds us to focus not on what we are missing, but what we’ve been given.

I don’t know about you, but social media and constant connection perpetuates my perceived “lack”.

This author actually references a verse in Joshua to encourage us. God spoke to Joshua, warning him against the temptation to be fearful of the unknown and dismayed by the unexpected. He commissioned Joshua to be “Be strong and courageous 💪… do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Maybe fear is creeping in about provision. You’re dismayed by unexpected life events or bills. And even in those moments we are called to be content.

We can learn and practice contentment even in a world that brews dissatisfaction, because God promises his presence wherever we go.
