We see success stories like Mary Tucker’s every day. Shown here with Occupational Therapist and Clinic Director Luke Ostergaard, Ms. Tucker came to us after a work-related arm fracture. Through hard work and skilled therapy, she regained strength and returned to work pain-free.

Encore Rehabilitation–Fayette is excited to welcome Tanner Hawkins, DPT, as our new Clinic Director and Physical Therapist!

Tanner is a graduate of Sulligent High School and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samford University in 2020. His passion for Physical Therapy began after he tore his ACL during his senior year of high school football. Experiencing the progress he made through therapy inspired him to pursue a career helping others achieve their recovery goals.

Tanner enjoys all sports, especially football and baseball, as well as working out, fishing, and catching up on his favorite TV shows.

Professionally, he finds it rewarding to help patients manage pain and improve function through tailored exercises and manual therapy techniques. He is also certified in dry needling and blood flow restriction therapy, which add valuable tools to his treatment approach.

“I am excited to be back in the area and look forward to working with all of my patients,” Tanner shared. “My goal is to help people overcome challenges related to post-op recovery, chronic pain, and strength or balance issues so they can get back to the activities they enjoy.”
