Across the country, Christ-centered recovery ministries are doing more than helping people get sober. They are helping men and women encounter the One who makes them new.

Judd’s story is a powerful reminder that when Christ stays at the center, lives are not only changed, they are transformed with purpose, hope, and new direction.

We are so thankful for our ACRM members who create space every day for people to encounter Jesus, understand His love, and experience true transformation.

ACRM exists to unite, strengthen, and protect Christ-centered recovery ministries through training, certification, collaboration, and one unified voice.

Because recovery work is different when Jesus is at the center.

“You can’t tell me that Christ-centered recovery doesn’t work because there’s evidence in my life that Jesus changed everything about me" - Judd Drake!

One of the impactful conversations from ACRM Training Day focused on evidence-based and evidence-informed practices within Christ-centered recovery ministries. Judd Drake challenged leaders to better understand and communicate the many ways recovery ministries are already providing evidence-based support through structure, accountability, peer support, life skills, community connection, mentoring, recovery housing, transportation, employment readiness, and long-term recovery support.

Throughout the session, Judd emphasized that Christ-centered recovery programs are often doing this work organically every single day, even if the activities are not labeled with clinical terminology. As he shared during the session, “Where’s the evidence? It’s right in front of you.”

Whether you lead a ministry, serve on staff, or simply have a heart for recovery, we would truly love for you to watch this session and grow alongside us.

“We’ve been so busy doing the good work, we’re not good at recording it" - Brandon Lackey.

Another meaningful conversation from ACRM Training Day focused on outcomes, data collection, and communicating long-term transformation within Christ-centered recovery ministries. Brandon Lackey challenged leaders to think intentionally about how ministries measure long-term transformation in areas like housing stability, employment retention, emotional functioning, family and community connection, purpose, and long-term recovery engagement.

Throughout the session, Brandon emphasized that Christ-centered recovery ministries are doing meaningful and effective work, but often struggle to communicate those outcomes clearly outside their four walls.

Whether you lead a ministry, serve on staff, or simply have a heart for recovery, we would truly love for you to watch this session and grow alongside us.

One of the impactful sessions from ACRM Training Day focused on understanding ADHD and neurodivergence within recovery ministry settings. Conversations like these help ministries better care for the people they serve with wisdom, compassion, and practical tools.

Thank you Graham Bufford for sharing this knowledge & wisdom!

Last week’s ACRM Training Day was filled with powerful teaching, meaningful conversations, and Christ-centered collaboration.

We are grateful for the leaders who poured into ministries from across the region:

• Graham Bufford | Working with People with ADHD and Neurodivergence
• Brandon Lackey | Measuring Outcomes and Data Collection
• Judd Drake | There is Evidence that You Are Evidence-Based and Evidence-Informed

We also want to thank Kevin Moore with Mission Increase for investing into ministry leaders during Training Day.

These sessions were designed to help strengthen Christ-centered recovery ministries through practical tools, education, encouragement, and excellence in care.

The recorded training sessions and resources are now available online:

The room was full at our Training Day! We are incredibly grateful for the ACRM members & Christ-centered recovery leaders who desire to grow together and lead well, all for God’s glory.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and the people in the room today are His hands & feet, working hard to help show others the way!

We missed all of those who couldn’t make it, but we will gather again soon!

We are excited for this upcoming training day THIS THURSDAY! One of the most encouraging things happening right now is seeing Christ-centered recovery leaders from different ministries, and states coming together around a shared mission: strengthening recovery while keeping Jesus at the center.

Training Days like this help equip leaders through collaboration, practical tools, shared standards, and meaningful conversations that ultimately strengthen the people and ministries we serve every day.

Grateful to be part of a growing network committed to transformational recovery and long-term impact through Jesus Christ!
