Katherine's Place At Wedington Katherine's Place at Wedington, a place where neighbors become friends, where everyday living is enhanced by meaningful things to do.

We are recreating the culture of long-term care by providing an environment where our elders live in a community with individual neighborhoods. What this means to our elders is that they choose just how much independence they wish to enjoy, whether it’s helping plan a meal, helping cook a meal or setting a table. It may be helping plan an activity or social event or taking part in a resident council meeting. It’s all up to our elders through our liberating and innovate approach to their care. This has helped Katherine’s Place at Wedington become the place where residents become neighbors and neighbors become friends.

This incredible mother and daughter — a cherished resident and devoted family member — have brought so much love and joy into the lives of fellow residents and staff here at KP over the past two and a half years. Their kindness and spirit truly represent what our community is all about, and we were honored to feature them as the face of our new brochure.

This week we’re proud to recognize Chesnee 🎉

Chesnee has been part of the Katherine’s Place family for a little over a year, and she brings kindness, positivity, and compassion to everyone she meets. Being a part of her residents’ lives is an important part of her life and reflects her strong commitment to her role.

She loves building relationships with residents and taking the time to learn about their lives and families. Outside of work, Chesnee enjoys spending time with her loved ones, going to the beach, and playing in the snow with her basset hound puppy.

Happy graduation from our rehab therapy program 🎉
She worked so hard and was so proud of herself and we are so proud of her she did incredible, she had the best attitude and spirit about her therapy it radiated through Katherine’s place, when presented with her graduation shirt and metal she was so excited she jumped right up and went around the room giving everyone a great big hug 🥰 she let me know that she absolutely loved her stay with us and that even though she was excited to be going home she was sad to say goodbye to everyone but promised to come back for a visit, she said I can’t wait to tell everyone I see what an amazing place and care you receive from everyone at Katherine’s place ♥️

Therapy graduation 🎉
One of our sweet rehab residents graduated our therapy program and went home Friday feeling confident and proud of the hard work she put in 👏🏻
She let us know what a wonderful experience it was to have her rehab stay with us at Katherine’s place, she said every person she encountered was always happy, kind and ready to help whether that be in our amazing therapy group to her nurses, CNA’s and every staff member she had conversations with, being a retired RN & former DON herself she said she was so pleased with her stay and would come back if she ever needed extra help again ♥️
