Christiane C. Long, LCSW

Christiane C. Long, LCSW At times we need an outside perspective, and maybe just someone to listen to us. I believe in holding healthy space for those in need of healing.

In order to tailor treatment to each client's needs, I tend to pull from various tenets and modalities of evidence-based therapies. I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and understand the mind-body connection; I am also trained in EMDR for trauma treatment. In therapy, I take a non-judgmental and accepting stance in order to work with a diverse p

opulation. LGBTQIA Ally and Welcoming, Sex-Positive, Polyamorous and non-monogamy affirming, Kink-allied and aware, and supporter of diversity, equality, and equity.

• These check-in prompts help create space for authentic consent while honouring that our capacity to make decisions can shift day to day, and person-to-person. Whether you’re supporting someone else or advocating for yourself, these phrases invite awareness of current emotional and cognitive state, and permission to ask for more information or support.

I got to spend this last weekend with other passionate social workers for our board retreat - social workers whose hearts and minds are enacting change in this state every day. Thank you for making me laugh until I cried (a few times), reminding me all the ways we show up for each other and those we serve in this state, and making me hopeful and excited for our field and what we work towards. And we even got to spend time with - who always has some good wisdom for us. Grateful to be part of this organization and this field.

Your board is at WERK this weekend. Our volunteer working board is actively involved in carrying out the mission of social work and our organization. This is going to be a good year and we are excited to connect with you. You know we have to have some fun too.

Real Kids. Real Cases. Real Justice.

Every day, CPC helps child abuse victims tell their story, receive healing care, and see justice served.

But this work is in jeopardy. We could possibly lose a combined $700,000 for our local center—which includes cuts from Arkansas Department of Human Services and The Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding.

This isn’t about budgets. It’s about protecting children who have been physically or sexually abused.

CPC makes our community safer by being an integral partner in crucial outcomes such as this one: https://bit.ly/4f1OzDi.

Call 501-364-5495 to learn more about how you can contact Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders office & your legislators TODAY. Their decisions will determine whether our center survives this.
