Christiane C. Long, LCSW

Christiane C. Long, LCSW At times we need an outside perspective, and maybe just someone to listen to us. I believe in holding healthy space for those in need of healing.

In order to tailor treatment to each client's needs, I tend to pull from various tenets and modalities of evidence-based therapies. I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and understand the mind-body connection; I am also trained in EMDR for trauma treatment. In therapy, I take a non-judgmental and accepting stance in order to work with a diverse population. LGBTQIA Ally and Welcoming, Sex-Positive, Polyamorous and non-monogamy affirming, Kink-allied and aware, and supporter of diversity, equality, and equity.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT... Welcome new and returning students to Fayetteville. I’m Cody Yancey, owner of Yancey’s Dickson Street Dogs. I’m a UofA alum and Army Veteran. I care about this community and the people in it. While Dickson Street can be lots of fun, it can also be dangerous. I offer my establishments as a SAFE PLACE for any individuals who may need help while on Dickson St. My team and I are here 8p-4a Th/Fri/Sat and if you find yourself in an unsafe situation, we’re happy to help.

Sometimes you may feel you’ve had too much to drink and aren’t sure how to get home. We can help find a way to get you home safely.

Sometimes you may have people around you that are making you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. You can come hang out with us, no questions asked, no purchase required.

Sometimes you may get separated from your friends and your phone is dead and you’re not sure what to do. We carry iPhone chargers.

The bars close at 2am. We’re here much later than that and can provide a safe place to figure out what to do.

SAFETY TIPS:
-Don’t drive home intoxicated.

-Charge your phone.

-Don’t go home with someone you don’t know well.

-Try to use the buddy system and avoid being out alone, especially at the end of the night.

I’ve been trained on recognizing opioid overdose and carry Naloxone (opioid overdose reversal drug) kits.

I’ve lived in NWA my entire life. This is my community, and it’s awesome. Enjoy it. And if you need something, don’t hesitate to come see us.
