This February, during , we’re sharing important facts about breast health disparities in the U.S.
Breast cancer can affect people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds. While Black women are diagnosed with breast cancer at lower rates, they continue to face a significantly higher risk of dying from the disease compared to White women. Historically, Black women have experienced barriers within healthcare systems, including limited access to timely screening, diagnosis, and treatment. These long-standing inequities still affect outcomes today.
At The Breast Center, we’re committed to helping change this through education, early detection, and compassionate, high-quality breast imaging care. By raising awareness about breast screening disparities, we can work toward a future where everyone has the opportunity for better outcomes.
