🩺 THIS ONE STILL GIVES ME ANXIETY 😭
Back before scanners…
before Pyxis…
before “just pull it again”…
There was the med tray.
And if you know… you KNOW.
You’d spend forever in the med room, lining up those little cups like soldiers.
Morning meds, noon meds, night meds… all pre-poured, all organized, all counted.
You double-checked.
You triple-checked.
You held your breath while crushing pills and praying the phone wouldn’t ring.
And then came the real test…
carrying that tray down the hallway.
Slow steps.
Careful turns.
One hand steady.
One eye on the floor.
Because if you dropped that tray…
It wasn’t just “oops.”
It was a full-on disaster.
Little cups rolling everywhere.
Pills bouncing like popcorn.
The whole hallway suddenly turning into a pharmacy crime scene.
And you’d just stand there for a second thinking:
“Lord… please don’t let anyone see this.” 😩
But somehow… we did it.
Shift after shift.
With no fancy systems.
Just memory, focus, and nerves of steel.
Today’s nurses will never understand the kind of pressure that came with a med tray.
💬 Be honest… did you ever drop one?
