“You are going to make mistakes. Everybody expects it. The mistakes are not the problem - it’s how you deal with them that counts. How do you react to being told you’ve made a mistake? How do you recover?
Mistakes can be crushing and sometimes it can be weeks until you finally understand. That’s fine.
Chefs do not look at mistakes - they look at the person, the reaction. They look at what will become of you because of the mistake.”

☀️My take: One of the things I love about cooking is it’s the problem solving that arises, the opportunity to improvise, and build character through a healthy mix of playful creativity and grit.
You can tell a lot about where you’re at by how you respond to mistakes, messes and perceived failures.
Everything that you do and experience is a gift. Sometimes, that’s an obvious fact.
A lot of times, you’ll notice there are things that definitely do show up that don’t look or feel like gifts. The thing is – those things are hiding under layer after layer of distortion. We must un peel the layers of trauma, pain and conditioning in order to find the radiant gift in the center. It’s there though!!
Plus- you ask me, the journey of the unwrapping is part of the gift in end of itself! 😊
What is one time that you thought you had made a mistake, but it is actually an incredible growth experience?
