If you're managing gestational diabetes, you may be looking for snacks that won't spike your blood sugar. Good news—peanut butter can be a great option when eaten in moderation! Here's why:

Low Glycemic Index: Peanut butter has a low glycemic index, meaning it won’t cause rapid increases in blood sugar levels. This makes it a smart snack choice for people with gestational diabetes.

Healthy Fats & Protein: Packed with healthy fats and protein, peanut butter helps keep you feeling full and satisfied, making it easier to avoid unhealthy cravings.

Blood Sugar Control: The combination of protein, healthy fats, and fiber in peanut butter helps slow the absorption of sugars into the bloodstream, which can support stable blood sugar levels.

Remember to opt for natural, unsweetened peanut butter without added sugars or hydrogenated oils. Always check labels to make sure you're getting the healthiest option.

Many women often wonder if they have to give up coffee during pregnancy. The quick answer is no, but it’s best to limit your intake of caffeine to no more than 200mg a day.

Caffeine is a diuretic, which increases urination frequency and can lead to dehydration. It is also a stimulant, which can increase your blood pressure and heart rate.

As always, talk with your doctor about any concerns or questions you may have.

It's the first day of spring, and we're all excited for the sunshine, flowers, and warmer days ahead! But, if you’re like many of us, that means seasonal allergies are also here.

Allergies during pregnancy can be miserable. 🤧 Talk with your doctor about how you can safely manage symptoms during pregnancy.

Happy Spring, everyone! 🌸
